
Lachlan Craig
Lachlan holds a Masters in Music with First Class Honours from the University of Auckland, studying Voice with Dr. Morag Atchison and Dr. Te Oti Rakena, and Choral Conducting with Dr. Karen Grylls. Lachlan also studied at The 2015 and 2017 Choral Music Institute at Oxford University under Dr. James Jordan and Dr. James Whitbourn. He is a member of Voices NZ Chamber Choir and a Freemasons NZ Opera Artist.
Lachlan is currently the Performing Arts Coordinator at Diocesan School for Girls. Prior to that he was the Director of Choirs and Strings at Saint Kentigern College, directing the award-winning Chamber Orchestra, as well as the multi award-winning choirs Kentoris and Menasing. Lachlan is the current Musical Director and Conductor of the Auckland Youth Choir which under his leadership has grown to be one of Auckland’s largest and successful community choirs. He is in regular demand in NZ and abroad as a tenor soloist, conductor, teacher, adjudicator and clinician.
