Clare Penny
Clare Penny (DipMus(perf), CertTESOL, ABRSM, AIRMT) studied under international flautist and conductor Uwe Grodd from the age of 11, and at just 16 entered Auckland University to study Performance Flute. Clare has played and taught in NZ, Europe and China, including 18 months living in Beijing, teaching English. Clare is a dynamic and engaging performer, who is passionate about teaching music to the highest standards.
Her many students have achieved great success in exams, competitions, and auditions. Recently, she re-entered Auckland University to achieve her Masters Degree, an opportunity to study French flute music on a full-time basis.
In her spare time Clare can be found in her huge garden, the yoga studio or cooking up a feast to share with friends.
